Can Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) retain their Tag?

      changing entrance exam patterns and rules every time does not ensure quality students rather better quality education should be imparted. rules changed frequently needs proper implementation and time to be effective and start producing results.this frequent change in results might deteriorate the quality of students.

there have been so many big changes in IITs:

1. IIT mains(subjective) replaced with objective exam in year 2006

2. in year 2007-2008, a student can attempt IIT entrance maximum twice one attempt during 12th and second attempt next subsequent year only after 12th.

3. introducing 28% OBC reservations in IITs as well in year 2007 around.

4. IITs entrance replaced by two tier  exam again in 2012 and giving 40% weightage to 12th.

and now in 2013

5. special preparatory session for reserved category students (SC/ST) to fill reserved seats in IITs. to know more click here

all these big changes have been made in a span of 7 years(approx.) .there are so many other changes also. now the question is

• what is need of so many changes?

• do rule maker IITs deserve to make rules,why they can not make strong decision at once? 
• making changes so frequently, might lead in making loose rules which may in turn send low quality students in IITs.

the concerning committee making rules and all should understand that

"IIT is not mass producer rather it's quality producer"

if IITs are quality producer then why they  fill seat via providing extra training to those who could not clear cut off. either seats should be kept vacant or should be filled by other deserving candidates.

we see that IITs are slipping in world ranking and asian ranking year on year. then why such low quality students are allowed to enter. if such rules are not stopped then those days are not far away that an IITian will also be unemployed just like other engineering students.

narayan murthy has told once : "engineering students(in state level colleges and universities) are not capable to work in IT companies  without proper training"

In coming future we might hear words that NITians are not capable and then IITian.

Water Recycling

     Recycling water means purifying used water and reuse it wherever possible,do not let it waste rather purify used water and use it for certain purposes like cleaning platform,floor,sprinkling water in garden and plant, for construction and many more.water used at one stage can always be used at other stage which requires less purified form of water.
         for example washbasin water  can be used to clean toilets,can be given to plants etc.,water used in washing clothes can be reclaimed to clean floors and platforms or can be used for irrigation.

water after purification can be more purified than what you get in supply from municipal corporation.more over if we reclaim this water then we can see our rivers and nullah more clean since this water will no more flow into the rivers.and this will reduce dependency on supplied water
municipal corporation supplies water to you and you discharge the waste water into nullah or river and again municipal corporation purifies this discharged water and supplies you back.so it's better

"do not discharge wastewater into surface water  like river,ponds etc. rather recycle it reuse".

but you will get recycled water at the cost of recycling.still,it will be less costly than what you get in supply because the supplied water adds cost of  "purification and supply".and if you recycle it at your own then it simply avoids supply cost.

IPL 2013 scandal: another IPL scandal let down its fans

        Recent involvement of Sreesanth,chandila and chavan trio of rajasthan Team has let down its fans when they were caught for spot fixing.now IPL is more about business instead of cricket.players are more interested in earning money rather than playing their game through IPL.guilty people should be punished and even should be sent to jail,so that no other player or bookies try to commit the same.supporting fan which is watching match hoping that their team will win the match but they loose.then they blame that this player and that player did not perform well but the truth is something else.it disappoints the team fans and other people,the moment when truth is known that "match was fixed or certain over was fixed".

      if involvement of players in fixing is not stopped,then the event which is known as "world class event"  will be known as "worst class event".people would no more find it interesting to watch such event if  such fixings are done.cricket governing body BCCI and ICC are sleeping now they must have been awaken by this scandal.      

The main clashes yet to start: IPL 2013 Knock out

                    Knock outs are about to start and there has not been much interest yet in tournament.not so much changes were seen in point tally except few RCB replaced by CSK.RCB remained at top position in point tally for around 7-8 matches and it was seemed that RCB is for sure is entered in knock out.but now the story is different,RCB is even struggling for getting in knock outs.

                   on the other side last three teams(Punjab,Delhi,Pune) in point tally are so sticked to their positions as if these positions are looking top positions for them.teams like Delhi and Pune have not tasted much wins they won 3 and 2 matches respectively.these teams could have made tournament more interesting by replacing any top four teams some where middle in the tournament but they are sticked to their position.

           The question to be asked from these team captains and coaches is why they are not performing as it was expected.before the tournament kicked off ,Delhi was looking a good team as they have strong batting and bowling department.but why delhi's devils are not performing.
           two teams(CSK,RR) have already booked their birth in knock out.and third is almost fixed for MI,now main fight is for fourth position.for which Hyderabad and Bangalore are in fight.
          To make a tournament a grand success it's only knock outs and final matches.in league matches you had enough chances to get back in tournament but in knock out it's "DO OR DIE".so let us see who all make to knock outs and get into final.finally i want a good contest,an interesting tournament.
     

Spat Between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir was not planned

          People are saying that verbal brawl and spat between kohli and gambhir was planned and meant to increase TRP but i don't think so if they had to do then they should have done in the end of match.why they put their match on stack and did this in between the match, which lead in distraction from the game and rather focus on spat.it's very much clear from the way kohli and gambhir become aggressive,that it was not planned.

               Television TRP has nothing to do with this brawl between gambhir and kohli.why they will put their match and match fees on stack.and due to this brawl,they might be banned for some matches.

                 But people will be amazed at seeing how gambhir and kohli greet each other when the game ended.it seems like nothing has happened between them.

Why Can't we have movies on Saving Environment,Saving Energy

                  Producers make movie on topics like corruption,family issues,social issues etc. but we do not see movie which talks about saving environment,saving energy.have they thought of making movie on saving environment  if yes,are they afraid of being flop if movie is on such topic.

                  A movie can be very good source to make people aware about saving environment,electricity,water etc because it is watched across world by a huge population.people try to imitate what is being shown in movie by their adored actor/actress.just like if their favourite actor is doing smoking in movie then 5-10% people do smoking after movie just because their favourite actor did in the movie. hence this environment savvy message can be passed effectively to the target population.

                 
Today saving environment,saving energy ,saving water etc..seem optional but after few years saving these will be our need.

                 "if we do not save environment,environment will not leave us"

saving earth means you can :
1.Save Trees
2.Save Water
3.Save Electricity
4.Save Animals
5.and finally by saving all these save your self

                        Think about the situation :you don't have oxygen to breath,don't have water to drink,don't have electricity to light your room,do not have Animal to enjoy with.you can't imagine this thing to happen but believe or not if we don't become alert now then time is not much far away.
                        People do not take this thing seriously and sure we need to pay for this in near future(i am not bad wisher i am always well wisher of anybody).if we do not save environment now,how could  we say that we will save it when we will be in a strong need to save it,by that time we would have missed chances to save environment.

IPL 2013 6th Edition

IPL,The most awaited event for which everybody waits will start on 3rd April  because this involves domestic players,national and international players which attracts domestic ,national and international people towards it.apart from from players it involves celebrities,politicians and cheerleaders.
                first of all whoever becomes IPL champion we want the event a grand success,huge audience and which can be seen only when the matches are close.there should not be one sided matches means one team scores 250 or so then the opponent team would have lost it when they were taking target.
to avoid these one sided competitions teams should have balanced players.
in last  edition(5th) we seen a new champion Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) they were bottom in 2009 edition and in 2011 edition  4th  and 2012 they became champion.
                  Let us see can they retain their crown maintained or we see again new champion. among new champions Mumbai Indians,Royal Challenger Bangalore,Kings Eleven Punjab,Sun Risers Hyderabad,Delhi Dare Devils.Mumbai Indians would be looking to book their first IPL-title and want to gift it to Sachin Tendulkar ,Adding one more achievement in his cricket career.he has almost every record on his Name.
         
              As IPL is controversial event  it's every edition involved some kind of controversy
IPL 2013 started with few controversies
             Chennai CM asked to BCCI that she will not allow any Sri lankan whether it's player or team official or umpire in the matches being played in Chennai.she did it due to some political reasons.
            The other issue raised by BJP about use of water in IPL matches in drought hit states like Maharashtra,south states.and we need to worry because it requires 60,000 liters of water in a match to water ground and pitch.but we can't stop using water because this is requirement.
               I Hope the event goes smoothly and no further controversies come.
who will be champion this time?????

About Holi Celebration :Why Enjoyment Comes With Wastage Only

         I am writing this post about How people celebrate Holi,when i saw many people celebrating Holi with strong chemical color,tearing clothes,throwing eggs,tomato etc.i ask people that why they waste water while playing Holi. why they can't  simply apply natural color(GULAL) on others face.instead of throwing buckets of water on their friends or any other person,why they can't use enough size tub and put your friend into that tub.and once you finish with your celebration tub's water can be used for some purpose like giving it to plants,garden.
         If you apply Strong Chemical color on others face it will  require much water to remove it from other's face and of course from your hands.apart from water wastage,it harms your skin,eye etc(i mentioned what harms it causes in my previous post http://shiningworld-why.blogspot.in/2013_03_01_archive.html ).
        Now moving towards the actual enjoyment they had...people were tearing clothes.their shirts,tshirts,jeans were tore completely and they were left with one option "to throw it".If they do not  tear clothes ,they them self  can wear(if possible) or can give to needy person.
       Now moving towards tomato and egg throwing...on one side it may give enjoyment  and on the other side these tomato and eggs can end somebody's hungry.in our country lots of people,children (in millions)are suffering from malnutrition so instead of throwing these(tomato,eggs),we can feed these to those malnutrients.

so i request to every human being not to waste(water,tomato,eggs etc...) in celebrating Holi like this...

Celebrate Holi with Natural Colors

Hiranykashyapu tried to kill his son Prahalad because he was devotee of God Vishnu and his father wanted him to worship him but Prahalad did not accept hence Hiranykashyapu asked him to sit in lap of Holika(sister of Hiranyakashyapu). Holika had a boon ,preventing her from being burnt in fire.
           when prahalad sat in pyre in lap of Holika he started chanting name of Vishnu.everyone amazed by seeing that Holika burnt to death and Prahalad survived unharmed.
Hence Holi is celebrated to remember prahalad's unharmed survival.and it left message that if you are a true devotee of god then he will always help you in every situation.
Holi is festival of colours,we apply colours on others face.nature also helps in celebrating Holi.
palash flowers start blooming just before Holi.

Palash flowers are used to make natural colors and which is harmless on the other hand chemical colors are injuries to health.

for example

Green colour is obtained from copper sulphate -which may cause allergies in eye or even temporary blindness.

Purple is obtained from chromium iodide - which may cause bronchial asthma or other forms of allergy.

Silver is obtained from aluminum bromide - a known carcinogenic.

Black is obtained from lead oxide - may cause renal failures or learning disability. 

Red is obtained from mercury sulphite - may cause skin cancer or Minamata disease (mental retardation, paralysis, impaired vision...) 

Shiny Colours are a result of powdered glass being added to the colours. 

so do celebrate Holi with natural colors like gulal etc.
